22 Weeks

How far along?  22 weeks

Total weight gain/loss:  12 pounds...yikes

Maternity clothes?  all my shirts yes, but still rocking the belly band with jeans

Stretch marks? No

Sleep: not enough, up every 1.5 hours to pee and cannot get comfortable

Best moment this week: Brian feeling baby girl move

Miss Anything? must I state the obvious...Mountain dew!  And anything with caffeine

Movement:  and lots of it!

Food cravings:  Ice cream and snow cones and anything sweet

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nada.

Have you started to show yet:  YES,  you cant really tell in scrubs at work, but when I wear regular clothes, its pretty obvious 

Gender:  GIRL, now I just need a name....

Belly Button in or out? In

Wedding rings on or off? On

Happy or Moody most of the time: ups and downs. Cry at random moments

Looking forward to:  Getting the nursery set up and painted

We decided on nursery colors. I really want it to be calming and peaceful so the bedding will be very neutral in color. If we can find the right shade of purple, the walls will be a grayish purple, very light and then pink accents throughout the room. The furniture, including the chair we ordered, are very dark so we want everything to else to be very light and soft. I'm getting really excited and cannot wait to see how it turns out. 

20 Weeks and Tulsa Baby shower

I have finally reached the half way point. Oh my gosh it seemed like I would never get here. And now it seems like eternity before I will finally meet my baby girl. That's right Baby Johns is a GIRL!!! I am thrilled to be having a little girl. From the beginning I felt like the little one in my tummy was a girl and the first words out of my mouth when the ultrasound tech confirmed it were " I was right!!". I was a little worried how excited Brian would be if it were a girl. He has always said he wants a boy first and really wanted this to be a boy. Well, let me just say that he is over the moon at the thought of having a daddy's girl. He immediately got excited about little girl clothes and the thought of taking her on dates, having tea parties and even teared up when I informed him that one day he would have to walk her down the aisle and give her away at her wedding. I had hoped he would be excited but he has surpassed my expectation and is even going to let me paint the nursery purple :)

 

I have never been one to love pink, but there is something about baby girls and pink, Im addicted!!!

Could this be any cuter?? Im hoping to get a newborn picture with this and then one day she can play dress up with it. 

At 20 weeks pregnant I went to Tulsa to visit my amazing life long friends. They were so sweet to throw me a baby shower. It was such a sweet time and I am so grateful I was able to celebrate with my best friends.

Total weight gain/loss:  7 pounds
Maternity clothes? Not yet, but I cannot button my jeans and be comfortable anymore.  I wear the belly band and have gone up a size in shirts due to a larger bust.
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: Frequent trips to the bathroom and bizarre dreams. Im not a side sleeper so I wake up a lot.
Best moment this week:  small kicks
