| Hannah had a big week! Christmas was so fun with her this year. She really is the best gift ever! She is doing so good. I try and keep her on a schedule most days. On the days that we are not home and the schedule gets thrown out the window, she just goes along with it. It doesn't seem to phase her too much...yet. Hopefully she will continue to be this laid back as she gets older. She sleeps a 6-7hr stretch at night and usually takes 2 hr naps during the day. I try to keep her awake as much as possible during the day. Right now we usually get a good hour, sometime hour and a half of wake time after she eats. My favorite part of the day is at 8 am when I go in to wake her up. Most mornings she is still asleep and I start to sing to her a silly good morning song ( I have not learned the words to the song yet so every morning there are new lyrics) she opens her eyes and stretches with a little half smile. It just melts my heart when she looks at me. I cannot wait until she starts smiling a real smile :) She has started smiling more in her sleep or after she eats so I am hopeful that a real smile will happen soon. Because she was so early the doctor said this might take a little longer than most babies her age. She would be 4 1/2 weeks if she had come on her due date. Hard to imagine. |
